Football's on... I can't watch it

The reason? It reminds me of Gary. Who, by the way, finally left Baghram and is liked up with his unit. Which means, much to my terror, he's going to start running missions again. I hate that. I liked it better when he was bored in Baghram. I know all Army jobs are dangerous, but sometimes I wish Gary's job was something more "safe" rather than infantry.

When Oliver was getting comissioned, he got a chance to select his branch, and I was like, "No way you're picking infantry!" He agreed that he needed an office-type job. It was a tossup between AG and Quartermaster... QM it was in the end.

I just pray Gary makes it through everything successfully! I was reading an article in Good Housekeeping about a lady and her 3 friends who lost their husbands in 911... and I thought, at least my husband's only going to be gone for a year and not forever. So, thanks to that article, I'm grateful for such a short separation compared to what many people go through when their spouses die. So, the concern is only that they come home safely. And for that, I fully know God in in complete control. :-)
