Waa Waa Wednesday, Complete with Video

Today I cried. At Walmart. I didn't know what kind of oil to choose for the oil change. That's what GARY does. Does it get easier? Is my husband REALLY gone for 15 to 18 months?!?! Yeah, yeah, yeah..

I knew what I was getting into when I married him. I accept that my husband has to deploy. I accept that his job is more dangerous than some other of my friend's husbands. I accept that there are also people with far more dangerous jobs. I know I'm not alone. I know other spouses have gone through this, and worse. SO WHAT?! I miss him. A lot!

I worry about him. And miss him. And ache for him.

We aren't a perfect couple. But we're US.

He is my rock. I feel out of touch. And vulnerable. And lonely. Heart-breakingly, bone-achingly lonely.

**Then.. and THEN.. I found this video. It's of my precious grandbaby, Madelin, at the deployment ceremony a few weeks ago. She makes me smile. She's all that is right with the world. Her and my crazy son, Gunner

If you click on the title of my post it will take you to the video.. I couldn't figure out how to do it otherwise**

The first time I got a flat tire after Tom got hurt and my dad passed away I bawled like a baby on the side of the road. I knew how to change a tire, I just didn't have anyone else to call to do it for me instead.

I know how you feel. Just keep holding on to 15 - 18 months from now. You can make it.

I'm not good at car stuff - I am good at calling my local mechanic - and he sends me a bill in the mail. I wish I was able to help - sorry.

I wish I knew all the magical things to say to make you feel better, but I don't, nor do I think any words could help you, but I am sending you tons of love and support, anytime you need a friend or a shoulder I will be here :)

Awwww, she's just a plain ol' cutie Lin!

I can only imagine missing a spouse the way you're missing yours, girl. Keep your chin up....everybody here respects and are thankful for your man every single day.
